I have a thing for making abstract wallpapers that depict explosions. This is the second of my Armageddon wallpaper, the first one will also be listed (not in galleries, but as another version). The first one was done with just photoshop, whereas Armageddon II was done in both photoshop and 3D Studio Max 6.

It's fantastic, nothing new... 3DS Max and Photoshop are a good combo for making these though, if you love em, 3DS Max makes these very easy to do and quickly. I'd be interested in seeing this kind of style done with a central figure, object or concept. It's pretty to look but that's about it. Keep posting more!!

i think these abstract thingies are becoming a bit duplicated from one another.
dC had some major breakthroughs in 3dabstracts, but apart from that, i think it's an empty future.

I'll go with what Starqueen and mccarlee said. I'd at least look into typography a bit which seems to be the point where these kind of images always seem to fall apart. You could argue that pics like these follow a specific trend, which they definetly do, but apart from that it's all done before and shouldn't be used as an excuse.

Anyway, as a wallpaper. Sure, it goes. As an picture, I'd love to see it have something more in it. Something that at least communicates a bit.
